On 7th June of 2007 Pedro made his first Trackday, and curiously it was his first time riding the recent aquisition, Honda RS 250 R !
The Trackday was organized by a well known portuguese motorcycle magazine, MOTOCICLISMO (check their website -> http://www.motociclismo.pt) on the famous Estoril Circuit, and they did quite a job since there was more than 100 participants for a total of 3 hour divided by 5 sessions all over saturday, from early morning till the evening.
Pedro opinion about the Trackday:
"I was quite nervous about this, since it would be my first time on a circuit and for making the things more difficult I was piloting (or trying to) the Honda RS 250R, a very powerfull 2-Stroke racing machine with more than 85 horsepower and a weight of only about 105 kg with water, oil and fuel.
I've done my Estoril debut with 2 objectives, get used to the track and get used to the capabilities of the Honda RS 250R, which has almost unlimited potential, but since I'm no experienced pilot (as the matter of fact I'm a newbie on these things) I need time and pratice to get along with her.
Unfortunately, here in Portugal there is no 2-Stroke tradition, so the only 2-Stroke guys there was me and a friend of mine, Diogo "tzracing" with his stock Yamaha TZR 250 but the environment of this event was very good and I've met with some friends like Hugo (Honda CRM 100 friend project) with his MV Agusta 1000 F4." |
