Another friend of ours bike, this time it's the João Gomes' Cagiva Mito 125 with 7 gears.
This Cagiva Mito was already engine tuned, but smoothly tuned, here's a photograph of it's last appearance side-by-side with his father Manuel Luís Gomes' MV Augusta 750 F4 1+1:
At that time, the Mito had a smooth engine tuning, with only 12 200 rpm in charge, having in account the reliability of this engine.
Therefore, the engine output predicted that time, was about 40 hp in a reliable dyno, the confirmed real velocity of 180 km/h in 7th gear (210 km/h in the instruments) with secondary transmission 14 - 41
Some old pictures of the Cagiva Mito 165:
New Evolution:
Gourgeous!
Initial phase, the naked frame, already black painted.
Looks like a Ducati to me! ehe
Without the plastics and deposit, and on the left already with the rear plastic.
Now the real thing, the Mito with the MV Augusta F4 1+1!
The complete bike, without the engine, soon the Mito beast will awake!
Again, the two beauties..
Some detail photos of the instrument panel, as well as the steering damper.

Cagiva Mito 165 and MV Augusta 750 F4 1+1, always together!

The engine tuning was already made, now it was time to get the Mito 165 into LuFo's workshop to assemble the engine on the chassis.

I helped João, and took my Seat Ibiza and tow to take the Cagiva to LuFo's workshop, nice, the Mito was already rolling, even without the engine eheh :)

Here's a picture of the engine already assembled and tuned, with the VFORCE YZ 250 carbon reed, Yamaha TZR 50 flywheel & electric part adapted and the Keihin PWK 41mm using stock Cagiva Mito 125 intake manifold.

Now the Mito is ready to get the engine tuned, LuFo was taking good care of her.
Some other views of the Mito, on the right photo, the engine already assembled on the chassis.
Taking care of the wiring cables, on the right photo, the detail of the Keihin PWK 41mm carburetor.
The CDI, an Honda NSR 50 tuned by LuFo, adapted to the Yamaha TZR 50 electric part.
The hand-made exhaust by LuFo, with the respective calculation formulas notebook. On the right photo, another detail photo of the engine with the Keihin PWK 41mm already assembled with the stock Mito intake manifold.
Another detail photo of the engine with the Keihin PWK 41mm already assembled with the stock Mito intake manifold.
Two photos of the exhaust curve process, LuFo welding the curve.
The exhaust already assembled in the Mito, the look it's awesome!
Two detail photos of the exhaust, the fender need to be cut, because the exhaust is too big in the belly section.
